This is a high quality case, as you'd expect from a manufacturer of OEM cases for BMW and other European brands. The fit and finish are excellent, it seals nicely, and it provides an easy to use rectangular shape inside, which permits easy packing.I talked to a rep for Shad USA before buying this product and he told me that the universal mount would work on my 2014 BMW R1200RT. Well, kinda. If you buy additional fasteners and fiddle with it for a long, long time, it will work. I tried it, and I wasn't really too confident about how secure it was, so I went to the Shad usa website and ordered the mount specifically made for my motorcycle. This required drilling holes through a plastic part of the stock rack and took about a half hour. However, it was rock solid afterward. If you have a BMW, I would definitely opt for the model-specific mount.It's a great case and well worth the cost.
